Indian King Tavern

WMG completed historic window and shutter restoration for the Indian King Tavern in Haddonfield, NJ.

Indian King Tavern

Built in 1730, the Indian King Tavern began operating as a meeting place in 1777. It served as a gathering place for New Jersey's newly formed government from January to September of 1777. In 1903, the building became New Jersey's first state-owned historic site. WMG completed the historic window restoration of all second and third floor windows on the street-facing façade, including a demilune sash that was original to the 1750 construction of the building. Additionally, we performed a complete restoration of all shutters.
