Thomas Edison Labs

WMG completed the restoration of 200 metal windows at the Thomas Edison Laboratories, a museum owned by the U.S. National Park Service.

Thomas Edison Labs

Thomas Edison's West Orange laboratory complex was opened in 1887 and was the site of many inventions related to electrical engineering including an improved phonograph, the development of motion picuture cameras and an improved storage battery. WMG completed the historic metal window restoration of more than 200 windows for Thomas Edison Laboratories, a museum owned by the U.S. National Park Service. We facilitated the repair and replacement of dozens of panes of glass with authentic salvaged material. Additionally, we custom fabricated crown moulding to match existing historic fabric and repaired several cornices. Finally, we repaired 12 original metal doors to full operation.
