Historic Lazaretto

WMG completed the historic window restoration for The Philadelphia Lazaretto, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Historic Lazaretto

Built in 1799, the Lazaretto is the oldest surviviving quarantine station in the Western Hemisphere. The building was initially erected for use by individuals who were sick upon their arrival at the Port of Philadelphia. WMG completed the historic window restoration of more than 120 windows, including complex repairs to existing window frames, sills, and trim. This project also required the installation of all shutters, hand-forged period hardware, and replicate gothic-topped sash to complete the restoration of the cupola.
